The latest design from PetiteKnit is a refined take on the classic summer top. While PetiteKnit is known for creating timeless knitwear, a closer look reveals that each pattern brings its own unique details—and in knitting, those details truly make the difference.

The Bea Top offers a slightly more shaped silhouette than some of her other designs, giving it a flattering, tailored feel. That said, it can easily be knit in a larger size for a more relaxed, effortless fit, depending on your personal style.

Like last year’s popular Waves Tee, this pattern is wonderfully versatile when it comes to yarn choice. With a recommended gauge of 20 stitches and 28 rows over 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) in stockinette stitch on a 3.5 mm (US 4) needle, the top can be made using either a single strand of DK weight yarn or two strands of sport weight held together.
For those comfortable with a bit of knitting math, this design also lends itself beautifully to heavier yarns, offering even more possibilities to customize the look and feel of your finished piece.

Construction
The Bea Top is worked from the bottom up, with the body knit seamlessly in the round for a clean, polished finish. The yoke is then divided into front and back, shaped with gentle decreases, and finished with short rows to create a soft, elegant boatneck.
