Inspire a Mind (IAM) is an online yarn shop that is inspired by sisters Sus and Anne Marie’s lifelong passions for knitting and yarns. They grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark and started knitting when they were kids and have been knitting since. Sus moved to Southern California in her 20s and Anne Marie lives in Copenhagen.
Sus designs/hand-dyes yarns from vendors who support environmental sustainability as well as ethical treatment of animals. All yarns are dyed with non-toxic acid-based dyes and air dried in the Southern California sun.
Since Inspire a Mind opened in Dec. 2020 we have added more Danish yarns that we love: Holst Garn, Hjertegarn, CaMaRose - and recently added a couple of yarns from Italian Lana Gatto's beautiful yarn collection.
