A stunning blend of my new hand-dyed d DK weight Baby Suri alpaca, Merino blend (with 4% Polyamide to bind yarn) from Peru. This yarn is incredibly soft and has a delicate airy halo and an altogether heavenly look and feel. This can be used on its own, but also as a companion thread to a bulky project like PetiteKnit's "Marble Sweater". This Baby Suri alpaca blend is a perfect alternative to people who are sensitive to mohair.

I have knitted a cardigan and a sweater, both size medium, using 4 skeins. 

Material: 74% Baby Alpaca, 22% Merino. 4% Polyamide
Yarn Weight: DK
Yardage: 130m (142 yds) per 50g skeins

Needles: 3.5 - 8mm
Gauge: 14-24 sts in 10cm (4 in) Suggested tension only, works well on large and small needles.

Care Instructions: Each skein of my richly colored, hand-dyed yarns is a unique work of art! Due to the nature of the hand-dyeing process, some excess dye may be present. To maintain the vibrancy of your finished pieces, I recommend hand-washing them separately.

Even in my solid shades, like soft cream, subtle variations add a touch of character to every skein. If you're looking for a more uniform color for your project, I suggest pairing with a mass-produced DK-weight brand of similar yarn. 

Hand wash using a wool detergent ideally below 30 Degrees C (86F), avoid wringing and twisting. Dry flat, do not sun dry, spin or tumble dry.

All my hand-dyed yarns are smaller dye-lots and each hand-dyed yarns I create, are unique. I recreate some of the basic hand-dyed colors, but they are still slightly different from the previous dye-lots - the same way mass produced yarns are. Even within one dye-lot, some skeins might have more of one color than the next - especially the hand-painted colors. The colors you see on the monitor/screen do match real life colors. I am happy to take custom colors orders too.

The DK weight blend has a slightly different fiber combination than my Baby Suri alpaca/Silk Lace weight yarns. This Suri Alpaca/Merino combination has a more rustic look, because it has less shine. Without silk, all yarns has less shine.

The alpaca is sources from alpaca in Peru that are treated humanely.
