This specialized process enhances durability and stability while creating a smooth, refined surface that allows yarn to move comfortably and evenly. The finished needles offer a warm, balanced feel in the hand and are designed to maintain consistent performance over time.

The set includes seven sizes of 6‑inch (15 cm) double‑pointed needles, with five needles per size, and is packaged in a thoughtfully designed fabric needle case for organized storage and transport.

Koshitsu Bamboo
Koshitsu are bamboo needles with brown color. After going through our unique high-temperature and pressure treatment, Koshitsu needles are carefully polished with natural plant wax. This special treatment gives the bamboo extra durability.

It also prevents the needles from warping. The surface treatment gives a comfortable and smooth movement of the threads and a warm touch.

Bamboo in Japan
Kinki Amibari Co., Ltd. has been manufacturing knitting needles of selected Japanese bamboo since 1916 in Japan. We only use carefully selected Moso bamboo grown in Japan.

Bamboo that grows in Japan is especially hard and resilient, reinforced by strong and durable fibers.
