The Fanny Dress is your go-to summer piece—equally perfect for a breezy beach day or a relaxed walk through the city. It’s knit from the top down, giving you full control over the length. For a flowing maxi style, just add the extra centimeters you prefer.
The construction begins with the back, worked flat in short rows to create shaping. Increases are added along both sides to form the armholes. Stitches for each shoulder are then picked up and shaped with short rows, incorporating decreases for the neckline and increases for the neckband. The shoulders are joined to start the front section, where increases once again shape the armholes before the front and back are connected. From that point, the body is knitted straight until it reaches the length you want. To finish, stitches are picked up around the neckline and armholes, then bound off for a clean, polished edge.
The light blue sample is knitted in Cotton Waves by Gepard Garn, shade Boat Blue [714].
