My Soft One – Exceptionally Light. Incredibly Soft. Perfect for Summer.

Like Plötulopi, My Soft One is an unspun roving yarn, but with a noticeably softer feel than traditional Icelandic wool. Its minimally processed structure gives it an authentic, lightweight character that feels gentle and airy in the finished fabric. Be carefull, do not pull too much when you knit.  

Fiber: 100% Fine Merino Wool  - Weight: DK - Worsted
Yardage: 25 g = 90 m/ 98 yards—about 50–60% more than standard merino yarns of the same needle size. 
Needles: 3.50 mm - 5.00 mm
Gauge: 19.0 to 22.0 sts = 4 inches
 

Because of its delicate construction, the yarn should be handled with care. For added strength while knitting, working with two or more strands held together is recommended. The roving structure—especially in yarns inspired by Icelandic fiber—felts very easily, rewarding gentle handling with a cohesive, cloud‑like fabric full of softness and movement.

The twist is intentionally minimal. Two lightly spun strands are softly combined to preserve the yarn’s near‑unspun nature while remaining stable enough for everyday knitting. True to Gepard’s philosophy, softness is never overstated—if a yarn feels soft, it truly is.

My Soft One knits beautifully on 4 mm needles and produces an exceptionally light result. With 90 meters per 25 g (180 meters per 50 g), it offers significantly more yardage than most 4 mm merino yarns, making it ideal for feather‑light garments that are breathable and comfortable against the skin, even in warmer weather.

The modern color palette features icy pastels alongside refined neutrals, all designed to mix effortlessly. My Soft One is also stunning when held together with a strand of Kid Seta, achieving a gauge of 17 stitches = 10 cm—perfect for lightweight spring projects such as PetiteKnit’s Cloud Sweater.
