The Peatlands Sweater is a new release from Cheryl Mokhtari of Coco Amour Knitwear. This top-down design is worked with a circular yoke, highlighted by an elegant and timeless colorwork pattern.
You begin at the neckline with ribbing, followed by four rounds of evenly placed increases to shape the yoke. After this section, the stitches are separated for sleeves and body, with extra stitches cast on for the underarms. The body and sleeves are then worked individually in the round, each finished with ribbed edges and bound off using the Italian bind-off for a polished look. For those who prefer additional shaping, the design includes an option to add short rows after the stranded section, subtly tilting the yoke forward to improve neckline fit without disrupting the colorwork.

Fit: The design incorporates 19–21 cm of positive ease, making the finished garment comfortably oversized compared to actual bust measurement.
Gauge
19 sts × 28 rnds = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette on 4.5 mm needles (blocked)
19 sts × 23 rnds = 10 × 10 cm in stranded knitting on 4.5 mm needles (blocked)
Note: Tension may vary between plain stockinette and stranded sections. A gauge swatch is strongly recommended. Adjust needle size (±0.5–1 mm) if necessary; many knitters prefer going up 0.5 mm for colorwork.
