The Upstream sweater by ROWS Knitwear features a relaxed, slouchy silhouette with raglan sleeves and a cozy high 2x2 ribbed neckline. The body is worked in a wavy rib stitch, combining garter and rib techniques to create a subtle mock-cable texture.
Worked top-down in the round, the pattern begins with the 2x2 rib at the neck before transitioning into the wavy rib stitch. Short rows shape the neckline for a comfortable fit. Raglan increases are made at four points until reaching the armholes, after which the stitches are separated for the body and sleeves. Both sections are continued in the round, finishing with 2x2 ribbing at the hem and cuffs.
This pattern includes clear, step-by-step instructions covering:
* Long-tail cast on
* Knitting in the round
* Knit and purl stitches
* Increases and decreases
* Cable cast on and cast off
Skill Level: Intermediate
Sizing: Available in 8 sizes (XS–4X). Size guide included. Note: Sizes 4 and 5 share the same instructions. Sample model (Alice) wears size S.
