Pattern Overview
The Caspar Blouse Mohair is a timeless raglan blouse with elegant details: gently ballooned sleeves, a feminine peplum, a round neckline, and a delicate bow closing the keyhole back.
Construction
This blouse is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch with raglan increases. To shape the neckline, the right and left shoulder sections are knitted separately. The front is formed with gentle increases, while the back is worked straight to create the opening for the keyhole. After the front pieces are joined, knitting continues back and forth until the keyhole is closed at the neckline. From that point, the blouse is worked seamlessly in the round.
The body is finished with a delicate peplum; an optional i-cord edging can be added for extra detail. Sleeves are knitted in the round in stockinette stitch to the desired length, then shaped with decreases and finished with an i-cord bind-off. Finally, an applied i-cord is added around the back keyhole and front neckline, creating a neat edge and a charming bow closure.
The blouse has a relaxed, slightly oversized fit with 5–15 cm of positive ease, making it both elegant and comfortable to wear.
