Hør Silke is crafted from the finest blend of French linen (70%) and wild tussah silk (30%), delicately spun into ultra-fine threads, which are twisted and then carefully chained into a unique, airy yarn. The addition of silk brings a natural softness, luxurious drape, and a subtle sheen that simply can't be achieved with fibers like viscose, Tencel, or other semi-natural alternatives.

Available in a beautiful palette inspired by nature, Flax Silk embodies the unique ability of linen to grow even more beautiful over time. The natural variations in thickness and tone bring depth and a touch of artistry to every project. Plus, after just one wash, the fabric smooths out to reveal an elegant, fluid drape—ideal for creating timeless pieces.

Proudly produced in Italy to Oeko-Tex standards, each skein is 50g with approximately 175 meters of yarn. It knits comfortably on needles between 3-5 mm, with around 4-6 skeins recommended for a sweater in sizes 38-40.

Hør Silke knits beautifully on needles from 3 to 5 mm, with 4 mm being a great middle ground. For a fuller texture, try pairing it with a thread of Cashmere Lace on larger needles. As you knit, you might notice the stitches seem to "dance," but after the first wash, everything smooths out to reveal a polished, stunning fabric.

For the best fit, gently stretch your work when measuring length, as this yarn will only adjust slightly after washing, with your knitting tension and pattern ultimately determining the final fit.

Care Instructions
For that luxuriously relaxed, smooth look, soak your Hør Silke knitwear in room-temperature water for about a day before pressing it dry in a towel. Air drying is best, as tumble drying can be too harsh on linen.

For future washes, you can hand wash or use a machine at 20-25°C for just 5 minutes with a gentle spin, using a laundry bag to protect the fabric. Avoid high-speed spins to prevent creasing in the linen.
