My latest hand-dyed Mermaid Baby Suri Cloud is a softly luminous evolution of our beloved baby Suri alpaca and silk lace collection, created for knitters who adore delicate textures with a hint of magic.

Spun from a luxurious blend of 64% baby Suri alpaca and 26% Grade A mulberry silk, this lace weight baby Suri/Silk fiber is feather light, incredibly soft, and drapes with effortless elegance. To make it truly special, 10% iridescent Mermaid Stellina Sparkle adds a whisper of shimmer—subtle yet captivating, like sunlight glimmering across ocean waves. (it is a challenge to capture the sparkle in my photos).

Each 50 gram skein offers 328 yards (299 meters) of airy, cloud like yarn, perfect for delicate shawls, sweaters, and accessories. As your project comes to life, the fabric blooms into a soft, glowing halo that feels as luxurious against the skin - as it looks. 

Care Instructions for hand-dyed yarns: Each skein of my hand‑dyed yarn is unique – one of a kind. Due to the nature of the hand‑dyeing process, some excess dye may be present. To help maintain the vibrancy of your finished pieces, I recommend hand‑washing them separately. If you notice excess dye, please block your project in warm water with vinegar.

Even in solid shades, such as soft cream, subtle color variations add character and charm to every skein. If you prefer a more uniform look, consider using a mass‑produced lace‑weight yarn—such as CaMaRose Midnatssol—or a similar lace weight mohair or alpaca blend.

Hand wash using a wool detergent ideally below 30 Degrees C (86F), avoid wringing and twisting. Air dry only.
