Fiber Characteristics
Targhee sheep from Montana and South Dakota provide their distinctively thick and heavy fleeces for Arbor. This American breed is a fine wool, bearing the softness of its distant Merino ancestry, but with durability enhanced by additional longwool genetics. Targhee wool has an especially elastic quality that, when combined with worsted-spun construction, produces plush yet sturdy fabrics suitable for next-to-skin wear.

Dye Process
Arbor is spun from undyed white wool, then skein dyed after spinning into a saturated palette of solid hues that let textured stitches and cables shine, create crisp colorwork, and highlight the natural luster of the wool fibers.
