The Cloud Sweater Junior is a top-down knit. Begin by working the back yoke flat, shaping the shoulders with short rows. Next, knit each shoulder individually, again using short rows. Join the shoulders to form the front yoke. Connect the front and back yokes at the underarms, then work the body in the round. Pick up stitches along the armhole openings to knit the sleeves in the round. Finally, pick up stitches along the neck opening to create the funnel neckline.

The blue Cloud Sweater Junior is knitted in Snefnug by CaMaRose in the color Skyblue (Dueblå -7389) held together with Soft Silk Mohair by Knitting for Olive in the color Valmueblå.

The pink Cloud Sweater Junior is knitted in Kos by Sandnes Garn in the color Shocking pink [4614] held together with Tynn Silk Mohair by Sandnes Garn in the color Pink lilac [4813].

The Cloud Sweater Junior is designed to have approx. 20-25 cm [7¾-9¾ inches] of positive ease. The sizes 1-2 (2-3) 3-4 (4-5) 5-6 (6-7) 7-8 (8-9) 9-10 (10-12) 12-14 years are designed to fit a chest circumference of 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (78) 82 cm [20¾ (21¼) 22 (22½) 23¼ (24½) 25¼ (26¾) 28¼ (30¾) 32¼ inches]. The measurements for the finished sweater can be found on the front page of the pattern (please note that these measurements are only achieved if the correct gauge is maintained). If the intended wearer measures 62 cm [24½ inches] around the chest, you should knit a size 6-7 years. A size 6-7 years sweater has a chest circumference of 87 cm [34¼ inches] which in the given example would give the intended wearer 25 cm [9¾ inches] of positive ease. If the measured chest circumference deviates from the age guide, you can adjust the length to fit the person you’re knitting for. The same applies if the child is shorter or taller than average.

If your pattern calls for yarn you don't have, but you want to use a yarn you DO have, there are some general (and loose) guidelines.
BUT, I still recommend making a swatch before beginning a project with any yarn.

2 fingering weight yarns = 1 sport/DK
2 sport weight yarns = 1 light worsted
2 DK weight yarns = 1 worsted/heavy worsted
2 worsted weight yarns= 1 chunky/bulky
2 chunky weight yarns = 1 super bulky
