The Sophie Scarf Kit is a fantastic gift idea or a delightful treat for yourself. It includes the charming Sophie Scarf pattern and a skein of my hand-dyed sport weight Merino wool. I’ve loved using this pattern for making gifts in all sorts of yarn weights, from bulky to light fingering. As an experienced knitter, I've also experimented with making the scarf longer and wider, resulting in beautiful and unique pieces every time.

My sport weight hand-dyed yarn is a bit heavier than what the pattern originally calls for, so I recommend following the instructions for the small size. This will create a unique and pretty scarf that showcases the vibrant colors and luxurious texture of the yarn. Enjoy the process and the lovely results!

• 1 x 100g skein of Inspire a Mind Hand-dyed Merino Wool (superwash)
  (240 yards/220 m per 100 gram skein).

Sizes: small (large) Choose size small for this particular yarn. 
Length from tip to tip: approx. 102 cm / 40¼ inches
Width at center: Approx. 13 cm / 5 inches
Gauge: 22 sts x 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) in garter stitch.
Suggested needles: 3.75 mm (US 5) / 60 cm [24 inches] circular needle. Please note that we are suggesting a size US 5 instead of US  4 since the yarn is sport weight.
