Cozy Cardigan Design by Coco Amour Knitwear knitted with CaMaRose HØST: The Amesbury Cardigan

The Amesbury Cardigan, designed by Cheryl Mokhtari of Coco Amour Knitwear, seamlessly combines timeless elegance with comfort, making it an ideal piece for autumn layering.

Cheryl's journey with knitting began in childhood, but it was in 2020—now a mother of two—that she rekindled her passion for the craft. This led to the creation of Coco Amour Knitwear, where she draws on her experience as a yoga instructor to design pieces that balance beauty and comfort.

In addition to her knitting, Cheryl teaches yoga at several leading studios in London.

The Amesbury Cardigan pattern is now available in multiple languages, including Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, German, and English, offering knitters worldwide the opportunity to craft this sophisticated piece. Download the pattern on Ravelry or on Coco Amour Knitwear page.

The Amesbury Cardigan is knitted with CaMaRose HØST -  a luxurious blend of 75% organic cotton, 16% wool, and 9% cashmere that can be purchased at  inspireamind.com.

Its distinctive color effects are achieved through a spray-dyeing technique applied to the organic cotton, blended with wool and cashmere, resulting in a stunning mélange with a subtle play of colors that enhances any garment.

CaMaRose HØST is GOTS certified, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and quality.

The Amesbury Cardigan features a stockinette body, refined ribbed edges, and a double-knit button placket, with saddle shoulders adding a modern touch. Knit top-down at a gauge of 21 stitches x 28 rows on size 4 needles, the pattern includes 11 sizes for a customizable fit.

The cardigan is worked top-down, starting with the shoulders and incorporating stitches for the sleeves. The back is worked flat, then stitches for the front are picked up and shaped before joining at the underarms. After completing the body, sleeve stitches are picked up and shaped with short rows, tapering down to ribbed cuffs. The button band is double-knit with buttonholes, and the neckline is finished with ribbing.
