Inspire a Mind (IAM) is an online yarn & gift shop inspired by sisters Sus and Anne Marie’s lifelong passions for knitting and yarns. They grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark and started knitting when they were kids and have been knitting since. Sus moved to Southern California in her 20s and Anne Marie lives in Copenhagen.
Sus designs/hand-dyes yarns from vendors who support environmental sustainability as well as ethical treatment of animals. All yarns are dyed with man-made non-toxic acid-based dyes and air dried in the Southern California sun.
The goal of my yarn shop is to inspire new and experienced knitters to use high quality yarns at affordable prices. I spent a lot of time curating/ looking for the highest quality natural yarns that are affordable, sustainable and support humane treatment of animals. The brands that I feel excited about and now sell (many yarns are from Denmark), like Holst Garn, CaMarose, Gepard, Knoll Yarns, Quince & Co, Hjerte Garn, Lana Gatto, Brooklyn Tweed, Malabrigo, Cascade and many more. On my main website inspireamind.com I sell them all. Unfortunately I am not able to sell all the brands on Etsy.
